Chefchauen es uno de los sitios más pintorescos de Marruecos.
Es un pequeño pueblo de montaña salpicado de casitas encaladas en azul,
con una colorida plaza y una pequeña alcazaba restaurada, todo con
mucha influencia andalusí. Se puede ir desde Tánger en bus (4€, 3 horas).
Chefchauen is one of the most picturesque villages in Morocco.
It's a small town in the mountains full of blue houses, a colorful
square and a small restored kasba, everything with a clear andalusian
influence.You can go by bus from Tangier (4€, 3 hours).
PLACE UTA EL-HAMMAM: Llegamos a medio día y fuimos directas a comer a La Lampe Magique, un restaurante que parece sacado de Disneyland, con varios pisos y terraza en 2 alturas con unas vistas maravillosas a la plaza, el pueblo entero, la kasba y las montañas. Se come un buen menú por unos 7€.
PLACE UTA EL-HAMMAM: We reached by noon and went directly to have lunch at La Lampe Magique, a Disney-style restaurant with many floors and an amazing rooftop where you can eat contemplating the whole town. There's a good menu for 7€.
KASBA: es una pequeña alcazada de estilo andalusí, con jardín y museo, se puede subir a la torre, que también tiene una buena panorámica. La entrada cuesta 1€.
KASBA: it's a small citadel with a garden and a museum, you climb up inside the tower for an amazing panoramic. Entrance fee is 1€.
LA MEDINA: Lo característico de esta medina es su color azul. Lo mejor es callejear alejándose de la calle turística y descubrir los mil rincones de cada callejón.
THE MEDINA: The thing about it is its blue color. You can wander the narrow streets, better to get away from the touristic main street and discover lovely quiet corners all over the place.
Dentro de la turística medina hay infinidad de puestos y tiendas de souvenirs, no muy bonitos, y más caros que en otras localidades.
Inside the touristic medina there are many stalls and shops selling souvenirs, not really nice and more expensive than Tangier ones.
Se puede ir y volver en el día desde Tánger, las vistas del Rif desde la carretera son espectaculares.
You can go and return in one day from Tangier, the view of the Rif from the road is amazing.
