Buenos días! Uno de los motivos de mi último viaje a Nueva York fue visitar la exposición de moda del Met, que este año está dedicada al concepto del "Camp". Una estética exagerada, ostentosa, con sentido del humor y sexual. A lo largo de la historia a vivido diferentes etapas, y como una imagen vale más que mil palabras a continuación os resumo en imágenes esta exposición, que probablemente no sea la más bonita que os he enseñado ni tenga muchos vestidos de ensueño, pero abre la mente y reflexiona sobre cada pieza!

Good morning! One of the highlights of my latest trip to New York was visiting the fashion exhibition at the Met, which this year focuses on Camp: an aesthetic related to the exaggeration, with a sense of humor and a lot of sexuality. The concept has evolved during the years, and, since an image is worth a thousand words, I'm showing you this exhibition in a few images, which might be not the prettiest dresses ever, but they surely open your mind and make you think a lot!

En Estados Unidos las ciudades no están tan decoradas para Navidad como en Europa, solo las tiendas, hoteles y algunas casas particulares se vuelcan con los adornos, pero los ayuntamientos no ponen mucho de su parte, algo que no deja de sorprenderme con lo amigos de los excesos que son aquí. En Washington solamente ponen el árbol de la Casa Blanca y el del Capitolio, pero no alumbran la gran vía ni la plaza mayor, claro que, aquí tampoco hay de eso. El año pasado para ver luces de navidad nos tuvimos que ir al Zoo, y este año hemos mejorado el plan visitando Nueva York. Alrededor del Rockefeller Center y la 5ª Avenida hay bastante ambiente navideño, pero en el resto de la ciudad bien podría ser febrero. Espero que paséis una feliz Navidad en cualquier lugar!

Good morning! In United States they don't decorate the cities for Christmas as much as in Europe, only the shops, hotels, and some private houses show their love for ornaments, but the city halls don't seem to make any effort. In DC we only have the Christmas tree at the White House and another one at the Capitol, but they don't light the streets or the main square of the cities. Anyways, there's no main square in Washington, and decorating the National Mall might be a little too much. Last year we had to go to the Zoo to see Christmas lights, and this year we have made a better plan and visited New York. The Rockefeller Center and the 5th Avenue are all in with the Christmas vibes, but in any other part of the city it could be February and you wouldn't notice the difference. I wish you a merry Christmas no matter where you are!

Buenos días! Hoy os traigo muchas imágenes de la última exposición que he visitado en Nueva York. El Museum at FIT le dedica toda su atención al color rosa hasta el 5 de Enero, haciendo un recorrido a través de los años y los diferentes significados de un color al que generalmente no se ha tomado en serio por considerarse cursi y ñoño. Yo, como gran fan del rosa que soy, no me la podía perder, y por supuesto la comparto con vosotros!

Good morning! Today I'm sharing many pictures from the last exhibition I attended in New York. The Museum at FIT focuses on pink color until January 5th, showing how this color significance has changed over the years but it is usually considered cute and not really serious. I'm a big fan of pink, so I had to visit it, and of course I want to share it with you!

Buenos días! Esta semana se celebra el Año Nuevo Chino, así que aprovecho para enseñaros el mercado callejero de Chinatown, que visitamos en nuestra última escapada a New York. Hace muchos años lo visité y recuerdo que me impresionó que vendían ranas vivas, las tenían en cubos en la calle... Good morning! This week they are celebrating the Chinese New Year, so I want to show you Chinatown street market, which we just visited in our last trip to New York. I visited it many years ago and I was really impressed by the alive frogs they sold there...
