WHERE: Baltimore, Maryland, USA
WHEN: Winter 2018
WEATHER: Rainy and foggy

Good morning! Today we are discovering Baltimore, the biggest city in Maryland, which once was one of the most important ports of entry to the United States. The city is a cool mix of eclectic buildings, picturesque neighbourhoods and charming people. It rained a lot during our visit and the fog covered the sky, but I hope to go back on a sunny day cause I´m sure it would be even better, and it's not far from DC.

From the train station, which is really nice, we walked until the Harbor.

The streets show all kind of architectonic styles.

The Washington Monument is one of the many landmarks, and it´s in a lovely square.

The Inner Harbor is the most happening spot in the city, with several ships turned into museums and the National Aquarium.

The USS Constellation was built in 1854 and it´s the only afloat ship from the Civil War times.

The USS Torsk submarine is a museum nowadays, but it holds the Navy´s record of more than 10.000 dives.

The Coast Guard Taney is the last survivor from Pearl Harbor attack, and it stayed in Hawai until 1986.

The Chesapeake marked the entrance to the Bay for decades and now it stays next to the Aquarium.

The National Aquarium is amazing, you can spend hours there watching the different species, but I´ll tell you more on a different post!

Nearby is the Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse, a unique lighthouse built on screw piles, with a wonderful view of the Harbor.

A few steps away you will find Little Italy, with Italian restaurants all over the neigborhood.

And finally Fells Point, which was an English colonial community of ship builders, and now it's a wonderful area to walk and have local seafood.

Callejeando un poco más hay zonas curiosas.
Wandering the streets you'll find different neighbourhoods.

Y hasta aquí nuestra primera visita a Baltimore!
