Buenos días! Hoy os traigo un nuevo capítulo de la serie que celebra los 10 años del blog. Retrocedemos hasta el 2017 para ver mi armario y mi estilo durante aquel año de cambios. Durante el 2017 pasé de vivir en la capital de España a la capital de Estados Unidos, haciendo una escala de 6 meses en Casares, un pueblo del sur de España entre Málaga y Cádiz, así que los distintos escenarios también se reflejaron en mi vestuario.

Good morning! Today we continue with this blog 10th Anniversary celebrations, traveling back in time to 2017, to see my closet and style from that year, which was marked by many changes. In 2017 I went from living in Spain's capital to United States' one, with a 6 moths stopover in Casares, a small town in the south of Spain, between Malaga and Cadiz, so all those different locations had an impact on the way I dressed.

En Madrid llevé looks más complejos, utilizando mucho el azul y el rosa, como aquí, y el burdeos, como aquí y aquí con una falda plisada, prenda a la que ya le dediqué el post de esta serie el mes pasado.

In Madrid I wore more layered outfits, with touches of blue and pink, like this one, and burgundy, like here or here with a pleated skirt, which also had its own post on this series last month.

En el sur llevé looks mucho más sencillos, coloridos y frescos, algunos con prendas de lino como este, este y este, y otros con diseños de mi colección Sugar Lane Design de esa temporada, como este, este, este o este otro. Y siguiendo por el Mediterráneo, pasé unos días en la zona de la Albufera, que podéis recordar aquí.

In the south of Spain my outfits were simple, fresh and colorful, some with linen dresses, like this, this or this, and some other wearing clothes from that season's Sugar Lane Design collection, like here, here, here or here. On the Mediterranean area I also spent some time at the Albufera, which you can remember here.

Además de diseñar mis colecciones habituales, ese año hice una falda muy especial para una amiga que asistió a los Premios Goya, también diseñé pajaritas de fiesta para caballero, y mi primera colección de almohadas de seda, que son lo mejor que podéis utilizar para dormir!

Apart from my usual collections, that year I made a very special skirt for a friend that attended the Goya Awards, I made fancy bow ties, and launched my first silk pillow collection, which you should all use to sleep better!

También volví a la India durante un par de semanas, vistiendo mis queridas prendas indias que podéis ver aquí. Tengo bastante ropa de cuando viví allí, y siempre que vuelvo me llevo algunos salwar kameez y algún sari porque voy mucho más cómoda y fresca vestida así. Y también porque me encanta el brilli-brilli!

I also went back to India for a couple of weeks, wearing my beloved traditional clothes, which you can see here. I have lots of Indian clothes from the times I lived there, so every time I visit I take some salwar kameez and sarees with me, since they are more comfy and fresh than western clothes. And also cause I love sparkles!

Antes de volar para Estados Unidos también visité algunos pueblos que me encantan, como Aranjuez y Pedraza, y otros lugares que no visitaba desde hacía muchísimos años, como Cuenca y Sigüenza.

Before moving to the States I also visited some of my favorite towns in Spain, like Aranjuez and Pedraza, and some others places I had not visited in years, like Cuenca and Sigüenza.

Como resultado de estos cambios de hogar, perfeccioné mis técnicas de embalaje y escribí una guía para organizar bien una mudanza, que podéis consultar aquí.

As a result of so many changes, I perfectioned my packing techniques and wrote a moving guide, that you can find here.

Y llegamos al look que podéis ver en el post de hoy, un look sencillo y fresco que representa muy bien mi armario del 2017, de hecho podéis verlo en mi armario cápsula de verano, pero que también es un look que utilizaba desde 2014, cuando me hice estos pantalones para un viaje por el sur de Italia, y que sigo utilizando cada año con variantes como esta o esta. Estos pantalones de seda los he vuelto a crear en diferentes colecciones de Sugar Lane Design porque siempre son un éxito y se ajustan a cada cuerpo a la perfección! And finally we have the outfit I have recreated in today's post, a simple and fresh look that represents my 2017 closet very well, in fact you can see it on my Summer capsule wardobe. But it is also a style I have been wearing since 2014, when I created these pants for a vacation in the south of Italy, and that I've been wearing since then in outfits like this one or this one. I have launched these silk pants in several collections because they are a bestseller, as they perfectly fit the curves of any body type! You can see them in brown here or in purple here.

Para este look de playa en Los Hamptons los combiné con un top blanco con los hombros descubiertos y un sombrero adornado con un pañuelo de seda a juego, también de Sugar Lane Design. Para ir a la playa me gusta ir bien vestida, pero siempre con prendas sueltas y finas, de esta forma consigo estar fresca hasta quedarme en bikini, y una vez termino la jornada de playa y quiero volver a vestirme puedo hacerlo con facilidad, evitando que la ropa se pegue al cuerpo con la crema o el sudor, y dejando que el bikini se termine de secar si estuviese algo húmedo.

This is how I styled them at The Hamptons, with a white off-the-shoulder top and a hat adorned with a matching silk scarf, also from Sugar Lane Design. I like to dress well when I go to the beach, but the trick is wearing loose and thin clothes, this way I feel fresh until I take them off, and once I need to get dressed again I can do it easily, avoiding the stickiness due to sunscreen and sweat, and letting the bikini dry under the clothes in case it was still wet.
