Good morning! You know I've taken a break to think and organise everything. Sometimes we loose focus and forget the reason behind our actions, so it's good to step aside and get back a good perspective. I started blogging because I enjoyed sharing, like I enjoyed reading what other bloggers shared, but lately it had become a source of stress, maybe I was posting too often or covering many topics; trips, DIY, style, food, exhibitions...
I'm looking forward to sharing again but I want to do it in a simple and serene way, selecting with carefully. I think this is truly important and I'm trying to put it into practice more often; being more selective. We live in an excessive society with too much stuff that doesn't provide any happiness, it just overwhelms and stresses us. We should stop, breath, think and choose wether we really need something to be part of our lives or not, we have to select the things that add value.
My mom always tells us not to justify something comparing us to everybody else, what other people does should not be an excuse. So if we live surrounded by consumerism and unsustainability it doesn't mean we have to follow that. I've just stopped buying things and I'm letting go whatever I don't need and tidying my home up. A year and a half ago, when I was surrounded by moving boxes, I found great advice in Marie Kondo method, and now that she has a serie on Netflix is a perfect time to refresh and go on decluttering. If you want more inspiration you can watch Minimalism, a Netflix documentary, and read the blog The Minimalist Wardrobe. I'll let you know my acchievements in this area, and regular posts will be back soon. I hope you have had a wonderful start of the year and wish your resolutions help you get happier!
