DIY: Sea glass Pendant

By Sugar Lane - Monday, October 02, 2017

Good morning! Are your summer holidays over? Here's another idea to keep those Little memories from the sea. I have to tell you, for many years I spent my summer holidays at Valencia beaches, where there's no many shells, just soft sand and once in a while you might find a seaweed. The coast in Malaga is quite different, beaches here are covered with small stones instead of sand, which really hurt your feet when you enter the sea (at least I hope is good for blood circulation!), but the good part is you find many shells and sea glass on these beaches. Today we are making a pendant with this small jewels from the sea.

Necesitas / You need:
  • Cristales del mar / Sea glass
  • Conchas / Shells
  • Cordón de lino / Linen cord
  • Tijeras /Scissors
  • Pistola termoselladora / Glue gun

1. Decide qué adornos vas a usar y en qué orden, que sean u número par, en mi caso 6 / Select the pieces you want to use and how to arrange them, you need an even number, I'm making it with 6.

2. Corta trozos de 1m de cordón, necesitas la mitad que adornos, en mi caso 3 / Cut 1m cord pieces, you need half of the pieces you are using, 3 in my case.

3. Pon los 3 cordones juntos, dobla por la mitad y anúdalos, dejando 6 cabos de unos 15 cm / Put the 3 together, fold in the middle and tie them, leaving 6 ends of 15cms

If it's a glass glue the cord rolling it on the top.

If it's a shell make a knot that fits inside and fix it with glue.

You can also add something different , I had this small bell around and simply tied it.

Some glass shapes allow you to tie them, and fix it with some glue.

A disfrutar de collar nuevo ! ! ! / Enjoy your new pendant ! ! !
