WEATHER: Cold and windy

Good morning! Washington looks amazing in Spring, magnolia flowers are gone, but the cherry trees have blossomed and the streets are full of daffodils, hyacinths and tulips, in every size and color! Today I'm showing you the cherry trees at East Potomac Park, a small island on the river. It turns out cherry trees are not all the same, and during the festival we got a map where we could check the species on each area and the differences with each other. We start at Hains Point and walked by the Potomac until Jefferson Memorial.

Los cerezos más comunes se llaman Yoshino.
The most common trees here are Yoshinos.

My favourite is the Weeping, with branches hanging down and small pink flowers.

The Takesimensis is covered with big groups of white flowers, like clouds.

The Akebono has pale pink flowers in small clusters.

Dark pink flowers bloom on the Sargent.

And the Kwanzan has double pink flowers, beautiful!

There are many more, hopefully we will find them soon...

The park is the perfect place for a walk with a river view on a sunny day.
