El sábado pasado celebramos la mayoría de edad de mi prima María en el Casino de Madrid. La cena fue un desfile de platos creados por Ferrán Adriá y Paco Roncero, una auténtica delicia donde no falto la tortilla del s. XXI, aunque el descubrimiento de la noche para mí fueron las lentejas con foie. El baile de después fue de lo más movido, y la novia, perdón, quiero decir la anfitriona, estaba espectacularmente guapa, porque lo es.
Yo decidí restaurar un vestido antiguo indio, bordado a mano en oro, que había pasado ya por 5 reconstrucciones. Además de ajustarlo a mi cuerpo le añadí un lazo de terciopelo, para darle un toque imperio, que combinaba perfectamente con las joyas, también indias, en plata y rubíes.
Last Saturday we celebrated my cousin’s 18th birthday at the Casino of Madrid, that is not a casino anymore, but a beautiful building with ball rooms to host events. Ferrán Adriá and Paco Roncero, two of the best chefs in the World, created the delightful dinner. We enjoyed at the ball afterwards, and María was looking gorgeous.
I managed to remake an old Indian dress, hand embroidered in gold, which had been redone 5 times already, Apart from fitting it to my body y added a velvet ribbon, matching the jewellery, also Indian, made in silver and rubies.
