Comienza la visita saliendo de la ciudad hacia el fuerte, haz una parada de camino en Jal Mahal, el palacio del agua, en mitad de un lago. El mirador siempre está animado con vendedores y familias indias.
Start the day leaving the city towards the fort, and make a stop at Jal Mahal, the water palace, in the middle of a lake. The area is always crowded with sellers and visitors.
Continua el camino hasta el Fuerte de Amber, en Amer. Dentro del fuerte tras cruzar la espectacular entrada decorada con pinturas, hay un precioso palacio de mármol y espejos, con jardines y salas de arenisca decoradas con elementos típicos.
Continue to the Amber Fort, in Amer. After the magnificent gate decorated with floral paintings, there is a beautiful marble palace decorated with mirrors, gardens and sandstone rooms decorated in the typical style.
Si vas por la mañana temprano puedes subir hasta el fuerte en elefante!
If you go early in the morning you can reach there by elephant!
La entrada a la zona palaciega está decorada con flores y presidida por el dios Ganesh sobre la puerta.
The entrance to the palace area is decorated with flowers and the god Ganesh above the door.
Los aposentos del Maharaja están decorados con cristales de colores y miles de espejos que reflejan la luz del sol.
The Maharaja rooms are decorated with coloured crystals and thousands of mirrors reflecting the sunlight.
Vuelve a la Pink City, la zona antigua de la ciudad, y empieza visitando el Hawa Mahal. El palacio de los vientos es la fachada más famosa de la ciudad, ideada para que las mujeres de la familia real observasen los festivales y la vida pública sin ser vistas desde fuera.
Go back to the Pink City and visit the Hawa Mahal. The "palace of the winds" is the most famous landmark in the city, a wall created for royalty women, so they could watch festivals and daily urban life without being seen from outside.
El City Palace era la residencia habitual del Maharaja de Jaipur, está compuesto por varios edificios y en uno de ellos muestran las vestimentas de la familia real, bordados, estampados... Hay sumergirse un rato y ver la cantidad de artesanía que decora cada rincón; lámparas, arquitectura, jarrones, murales...
The City Palace was the Maharaja's residence, it has many buildings inside, one of them showing the royal family customs, embroideries, prints... Roam around the whole place paying attention to the details decorating each corner; lamps, arches, paintings...
Cuando termines adéntrate en el bazaar, el sitio ideal para un rato de compras! Esta organizado por gremios; en una calle joyas, en otra textiles, en otra utensilios, muebles...
Once you are done get to the bazaar, the perfect spot for some shopping! You'll find different kind of shops in each street; one street for jewellery, one for textiles, another for utensils, furniture...
No te pierdas a los artesanos que estampan a mano los tejidos con sellos de madera, están encantados de explicarte el proceso!
Don't miss the artisans who print fabrics with wood blocks, they'll be happy to explain you the process!
El Hawa Mahal de noche está iluminado y se pueden apreciar mejor los colores en los cristales de las ventanas.
If you go by the Hawa Mahal at night you'll get to see the colours on every window.
